Fall Favorites

Hello.  Still here just sllloooww getting it documented.  We are finally feeling like Fall around here. I've yet to break out my beloved Uggs or Barefoot Dream cardigan but they are oh. so. close!  So far behind but here is our life lately...

Keatyn's kindergarten teacher (who happens to be my BFF from high school) celebrated the big 4-1 on September 23rd.  Major homeroom mom guilt emerged when we had yet to receive our packet with all the students info in it and I had no way of letting all these parents know that it was Mrs. Dishmon's birthday.  So, I got a cake and some party hats and we did a little celebrating in her room.  I think the kids loved it and hopefully it made Lu feel special.  Can I just mention again how wonderful it is to have your best friend of 25+ years be your babies first teacher.  #blessing

This guy...
Has won over all of our hearts and gets cuter by the minute.  Love that boy!!

We attempted another sport and it was a big success!!  Trace played flag football and really grew as a player.  For a kiddo that is "late to the game" so to speak, he showed so much improvement and had a really good time!  So proud of him.
Keatyn went on her first field trip to Cleveland's Apple Orchard.  She loved riding the big bus!  It's the little things...
And yes, she is a head taller than all of her classmates, even the boys.  Lol!

Around Nanny's birthday, our sweet cousin, Marilyn, comes every year.

(Hi Marilyn!!!  She may be my only remaining reader at this point.)

We always do our tradition of Krystals on Friday and dinner on Sunday.  Love them oh so much and am so very thankful for my amazing family.  You should have heard my dad's precious prayer before our meal.  He could hardly get it out through the tears thanking the good Lord for our blessing of family from our youngest to our oldest and Marilyn making the trip to share it with us.

Cutie pies!
Trace adding his extra umph to our birthday song...

Homecoming week at school was fun!  Dressing up the kiddos everyday in different themes can be a little stressful for the mamas, but they sure seem to enjoy it.

Farmer day
What you want to be when you grow up... Trace- Karate instructor (not really, but we were in a pinch) and Keatyn- a tennis teacher (ironic since she's never had a tennis lesson)
Circus day- my magician and clown
A solemn clown that hates to have her picture made.
We headed to Destin for Fall Break and it was such a nice getaway.  The pools were all too cold to swim in but we braved the beach 2 days and it was perfect and peaceful.

We took Timber to the point a few times to let him run and they fished and played.  Apparently, things got a little out of hand... Ha!
This may be the prettiest place in Sandestin.  I told the kids that one of them has to get married on this point.  We are actually having family pictures made here on Thanksgiving.  It's not sandy beaches but I love it just as much!

Lots of bike riding and golf cart driving...

One night, the boys actually caught a jelly fish.  It was so slimy and slippery but pretty cool.

Another jelly fish at the beach.

Sheila, Rick, and Tripp came to visit and the pups finally got to meet!  Always so good visiting with them!
Would you believe these were my only pictures from Halloween?!?  Sad.  I don't even have an upclose of my 2 kids.  Ugh... we drove to Albertville, AL the morning of Halloween to trade my car and were SO late getting back, I just couldn't pull it all together.  Keatyn was a vampire and Trace was a Pokemon Go hunter.  We had our first Halloween at mom and dads and it was PERFECT!  We ate on the deck (since it was 90 degrees) and then trick or treated through Ramsgate.  A new tradition was born!!

So that's been life lately.  Looking forward to Thanksgiving at the beach with family.  Hopefully I'll have pictures of that loaded before Christmas.  Lol!
