Catching Up

These 2 below are rotten.  They are the absolute sweetest though and I wouldn't trade them for the world.  They love nothing more than a car ride and a HUGE bonus if you roll the windows down.  It's the little things.  So thankful for the joy they bring to our family.

On October 15th, we celebrated our sweet Nanny's 93rd birthday.  We are so very blessed to get her for another birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  That blessing is not lost on us.

She was pretty confused being out of her room and out and about but I think she really enjoyed it once we got her there.  She is absolutely the most precious lady.

We celebrated Halloween at my parents with a great crowd.  Keatyn was a rose angel and looked beautiful!  So thankful for these sweet friends.
Trace was Michael Myers (I think)  Maddux and Jack were other serial movie killers but I can't keep them all straight.  We just told them not to have their masks on around the little ones.  Lol!

The night before, Trace went to his first high school homecoming dance.  He met Jack and Callen at Taco Mamacita to eat first.  I can't believe they are old enough for this!

Homecoming Dress Up week...

Nanny and her milkshakes...
Two nights later, the Braves won the World Series and it was amazing!!  We had many late nights leading up to the big win and Keatyn always tried to hang but didn't always make it.

Jimmy got a huge deer one night, came home and picked up Keatyn (Trace was sick) to go track it, and then brought it home and gutted it in our driveway.  GROSS!

We took the kids and dogs hiking at Big Soddy Creek one warm fall weekend.  It was beautiful!

If you can't tell, Keatyn was drenched by this point.  Playing by the creek usually ends with this. Lol!  Our hike was cut short once she was soaked and freezing.

Jim and Sylvia had a gorgeous red tree in their yard, so we went up to snap a few pictures for their Christmas card.  Most of the leaves had fallen off from the storm the night before but they were even prettier on the ground because they were all around us.

After we took pictures, we headed up to Fall Creek Falls.  I can't believe that was my first time going there.  Jimmy spend years hunting around there but the kids and I had never been.  The hike down was no joke, but it was totally worth it.

Keatyn started basketball in November and is loving it!  She has been so ready to be old enough to play for school!

We had family Thanksgiving at our house the day before we left for the beach.  Sadly, this was the only picture I took.
We got to the beach for a few days of family fun and soaked up the memories.  Love these 4 so much!

The new Effie Hotel right next to the wharf was beautiful!  We went twice to see and it and get pictures.

We went back the next day to get more pictures with Trace and this one ended up being Sisty's Christmas card picture.

We went to the beach for Thanksgiving and ended up eating Thanksgiving dinner there at the Beach Club. So easy and good and the pictures after were my favorite part!

Trace's friend, Houston, was there and he took the official family picture and did a great job!

Then it was home to get ready for Christmas.
Love these reindeer...

Mom, dad and Van came to watch Keatyn in her Christmas show...

More basketball...

Quinn's grandmother invited us over for Cocoa and Cookies with Gigi.  Such a sweet thing to do and Keatyn had a ball.

A few days later, we went ice skating and to dinner...

Thankful for these special times with my family and kiddos that are growing so fast!
