Life Lately

Well, I told myself I wanted to publish my Thanksgiving blog BEFORE Christmas and here I sit on Christmas Eve morning typing away.  Lol!  I love looking back at these pictures and reliving these memories but it seems so hard to find the time to document it.  Especially this crazy time of year.

Here goes... our life lately.

Roman is 6 months old and is beyond precious.  I could eat this little guy up!  He just started sitting up by himself last week and he smiles and coos constantly.

The kids and Jimmy and I took the pontoon for one last ride before it got too cold. We went over to one of the islands and hiked around and explored.  These babies are growing up fast!

We had some huge wildfires in our mountains last month that were really scary.  The whole city smelled like smoke and several people on the mountains properties were threatened.  Fire fighter came from all over the country to help.  We PRAYED for rain and after several weeks, they finally got put out.  It was scary.  This was the view from my driveway.
We stopped by to see Nanny one day and when Trace went to hug her, I noticed they were the same size.  What?!?  Trace was so proud.  I love that special lady so very much!

Attempt number 3 at getting ears pierced.  They are still holeless.

We went to dinner with friends the other night and when the check came we all died laughing at the boys trying to read the bill.  We are getting old!  Lol!

The kiddos did their sweet Christmas show at school.  I love, love, love that they are in school that focuses on the real meaning of Christmas and teaches them the Bible.  That is worth every penny of tuition to me!

We headed to Destin with the whole family for Thanksgiving.  I look forward to this tradition every year.  It was beautiful and warm and we loved every minute.  Timber took a little dip in the pond.
And Trace tried out his long awaited hoverboard.  He was amazing on that thing. 5 minutes in and he was spinning and zooming through the condo.
Our traditional Thanksgiving dinner...

On Thanksgiving Day we went to the beach.  How cool is that?  It was beautiful and the kids even swam in the ocean.  I watched and waved from my chair.  That water was COLD!!!
Roman's first Thanksgiving.  We loved every minute we got to kiss on this sweet baby.

Trace tried his first baked oyster, not a fan...

After dinner, we went dancing.  Trace put on quite the show.  That boy can move.

The next day we went to the Marina to walk around and play.  These birds were amazing.
Trace kicked back and watching the football game.  Life is hard.

When we got home, things got crazy busy with Keatyn's dance recital and her big Christmas show at church, "All about that baby."  It was so sweet and really puts you in the Christmas spirit.

And after weeks of procrastinating, Cheeky our Elf finally made his appearance.  He requires a lot of thought and late night planning so he didn't come quite as early as he has in the past. Lol!  He brought along the movie Elf and some cute Christmas plates.  Let the countdown to Christmas officially begin!
