2 months

Well, we are still here.  Hanging.  This is the kids last week of school.  It's so strange to be finishing a school year like this.  They both have done really well and I'd say for the most part really enjoyed school this way as opposed to the traditional way, other than not seeing anyone.  That part is definetley getting old.  We are venturing out more, or should I say Jimmy and I are.  I've been in Lowes and Home Depot a few times, been to Target (which was glorious), Vinterest and been picking up food more.  We still haven't been to a restaurant to eat other than pick up.  And I've been going to physical therapy twice a week for my foot.  Here is Keatyn the day we dropped Timber off at the vet.  The mask was "cool" for about 30 seconds. :)

Our side fence didn't get stained 2 years ago when they did our fence, so Jimmy cut it down and we started over.  Hence the multiple trips to HD.  The kids were big helpers and it looks so much better.

A few Saturdays ago, we headed up to Dayton to a farm to pick strawberries.  We woke the kids up early put by the time we got there, they were out.  Boo!  We drove on a little further and went to the cemetery where Jimmy's grandparents, uncle David, and great aunt are buried.  Decoration Day is the first weekend in May every year so we told Jim and Sylyia we would decorate this year.  Navigating that boot in thst old hilly cemetery wasn't easy but we got everyone decorated.
Then we drove through downtown Dayton and found a little fruit stand that sold fresh strawberries and we loaded up.  It's not the same as picking them yourself but as close as we could get.

Dad kept telling me to come get the convertible and take the kids for a ride.  The next day we went up the mountain to that big house Jimmy is flipping with partners to check out the progress.  We didn't have the four wheelers, dogs or guns like last time but the ride and fresh air was really nice.

In Target one day, I bought some games for us to play...

K and I went to see Emerson's new house they are building and ate hotdogs on the dock with them.  Keatyn has missed Emerson so much and it was great to catch up!  They played and ran all over that property for hours.

We still had Papaw's car, so when we left, the kids all wanted to ride down the ridge to Cristin's together.  We made it halfway down Gann Store Road and suddenly it stopped.  Yikes!  Cristin was in front of me but didn't see us stop.  We were about halfway off the road right in front of Hailey Hughes house so I made the kids run and stand in her driveway while I called for help. Cristin came back to get them and took them to her house while I called the boys and we got it off the road.  A tow truck had to come tow it back to dads.  He said in 20 years, that's only the second time it's ever quit on him. Just so happened I had 3 kids with me when it did.  Shew...so glad that turned out ok!

The deer across the street at the Greenway checking us out...
I'm not one to take pictures of food. In fact, that is one of my facebook pet peeves.  Lol!  But this was SO pretty and so good.  I've been watching a lot of food network and Trisha Yearwood made these waffle nachos with waffle fries and taco meat.  Hello...this is SO me!!  I could have eaten that whole pan.  YUM!
So for Christmas, Santa brought a home workout gym that has been laying in the basement floor since Santa and his elves dropped it there.  With my boot on and no way to exercise it was WAY PAST TIME to get this thing put together.  So one night around 6:30, we began.  It was a project to say the least.  The boys did so good putting it together.  I was the "parts" lady and Keatyn helped some too.  It was a family affair for sure...
6.5 hours, 3 boxes and 2,479 bolts, screws, washers later...  I was so proud of them!
I sent these next 2 pictures to the Fab 5 because you just can't make this stuff up.  Jimmy and I went to check out a new flip house and from the front picture window I saw this.  I thought it was a banner hanging on the wall.  Nope.  It was a HUGE painted sign painted over the 1970s wallpaper that you could see from the street.  Lol!

Then, we made it back to the master bathroom.  Apparently, the man decided to cut his beard right before he left and just left it.  GROSS!  The house was spotless, not a piece of garbage in sight (which is a rare and nice surprise) but he left his beard.  Lol!
We've been watching a lot of Shark Tank around here.  The kids love it and it's teaching them a lot about business.

When all of this started, I immediately went and bought paint for the basement.  For 6 years,  I've wanted to do something to this basement.  It's huge and I love it but half of it is cinder block walls and the paint color is a muddy tan.  Now that it's not overrun with toys (other than a ping pong/pool table) I would like to make it a little nicer.  I've convinced Jimmy to sheetrock the walls and I have started painting the finished walls a light gray.  I'm sure my foot doctor and PT would approve of me on a ladder with my boot painting, right?

I'm hoping to have some after pictures soon.  Before...

Using the extra wood from the fence to build stuff...
And hydro dipping everything in sight...

Painting dads toe nails... :)  Such a good daddy!
And our biggest quarantine challenge to date... shaving Sadie.  Ha!  This was her before picture.  The poor thing could hardly see and her fur was so matted.  I know she was so hot.  So the other night we turned the driveway into a grooming station and shaved pounds and pounds of fur off that sweet baby.  She was so good and sweet.

We have tried to decide the last few days exactly what she looks like now.  A fox?  A jackal?  Not sure yet.  We left her tail long at the tip (mainly after I chopped the middle) and Keatyn wanted her to have "shoes" so we shaved her legs some but left a little on her feet.  We butchered her little face.  Bless, the face is hard.  But it will grow out and in 3 weeks she will probable need it again.  It's so funny, Timber has never had a haircut and Sadie and Trace need one about every month.  Lol!
This is out of order, but Mother's Day was so sweet.  Jimmy got up and went to IHOP for a big breakfast.  His sweet way of bringing me breakfast in bed without having to cook.  LOL!  He woke the kids up when he got home and they all piled on the bed with trays while we ate a huge breakfast.  And watched, Shark Tank, of course.  Ha!  I had ordered some new skin care that I wanted so they gave me that for Mother's Day along with homemade cards.  I love these 2 so very much!!

And then my other 2 kids got to lick the plates.  They devoured the syrup and bacon grease!

Later that afternoon, we went to my moms and visited for a couple of hours on her back porch.  I am missing them all so much!  We've seen all the grands but up until Mother's Day hadn't been in their house or really touched them.  I just pray none of them get this nasty virus.  They all have health things that could complicate it so quickly so we are trying to be verycareful.  Mom and dad actually got to make an "appointment" and go into Regency to see Nanny.  After almost 2 months, they finally got to visit her on Mother's Day.  Tommy and Shara went at 1, mom and dad at 1:30 and Patty came later that day.  Only 2 were allowed at a time and no kids were allowed in but they said she looked great and dad called me for me to tell her Happy Mother's Day while they were there.  She's really enjoying having her meals brought to her but still gets confused and is really lonely.  I'm SO ready to hug her! I just pray letting all those people in for the day wasn't a mistake and they all stay well.

After we visited with mom and dad, we met Granddaddy and Sisty at the driving range to hit some balls.  The kids did great!

And that night, we all piled up and watched Forrest Gump on CBS.  The kids both loved it and other than a few spots we had to fast forward, it was pretty tame for Keatyn.  Wow, watching movies with your kids, you really see ALL the questionable parts you've never thought about before.  It's really hard to find movies both a 13 year old boy and a 9 year old girl will enjoy.  I LOVE family movie night, when it's a hit!!
So that's been our life the last few weeks.  School is over this week and I'm hoping we can head to the beach for my birthday.  Jimmy's CBA was cancelled again this month but there may be auctions finally coming out next week so it's still up in the air.  Hopefully we will get there in the next few weeks.  I'm ready to see another 4 walls.  Lol!!
