The land of legos, fish and cheesecake

What happens when you take a newly retired Papaw and a kindergartener with 2 days off for Winter Break?

ROAD TRIP!!!

Daddy had to work, so we headed to Hotlanta with Nana and Papaw for a little Legoland and Aquarium culture.  It's safe to say, that after spending 36 hours with my younguns, dad is prolly ready to come out of retirement.  We are a little exhausting.

She didn't quite grasp the "3D" concept. :)

After a fun filled day at Legoland, we checked into the Embassy Suites (of course, where else would we stay??) in Buckhead and then I had the brilliant idea to take the shuttle down to the Cheesecake Factory.  Now, this is after a 2 hour car ride, 3 hour Legoland adventure and a barely 2 year old with no nap.  NOT my smartest plan.  It may have been the Longest. Meal. Of. Our. Lives.
When she wasn't throwing her food in the floor or screaming to get OUT, she was making her "adorable" face with Papaw.  Even Papaw will admit, she wasn't pulling off cute very well.
The grands took the kiddos swimming and mommy hopped another shuttle to go to Lenox Mall ALONE!!!  I mean, it's against my religion to grace the city of Atlanta without doing a little shopping.

The next morning, we hit the Georgia Aquarium.  It did not disappoint!  We loved it and will certainly be back.  The Dolphin show was worth the the price of admission alone!

It was a great little get away and I pray there are many, many more to come!  Thank you so much Nana and Papaw!!!
