A day on the lake

Ever have one of those Saturday where you wake up and ironically no one has anything to do???

Doesn't happen often.

We packed a lunch, jumped on the pontoon and enjoyed a perfect, spontaneous day on the lake.

(Well... it would have been "perfect" if Mama had been able to float peacefully for like 4.5 seconds on the raft without being wallered by this little sea monster.)

My boy is growing SO fast.  Last summer I had to help him onto the platform, then lift him up to grab the rope. Growing. Like. A. Weed.
"I do it..."

We decided to drive over to my dad's marina and we totally crashed my cousin Carrie's birthday party.  It was so good to see them, it had been way too long!

Cousins...

Not at all the intended or recommended use for this doggie ramp, but what fun!

Jimmy's friend Paul and his family were out on their boat so we anchored and let the kids play.

No boat ride is complete without a race out of the slew. A little anti-climatic when a pontoon tops out at about 22 m.p.h.

6 hours later, we'd made a day of it.  Poor baby couldn't even make it through Barney...
