Jamacia 2019

Get ready for an obnoxious amount of pictures.  But I won't apologize because I don't ever want to forget this trip and pictures are my memories.

Last year, before Christmas we tried to take a vacation to the Dominican Republic with Jim and Sylvia that ended with a black out in the Atlanta airport and a sick boy.  So... heartbroken, we drove home, vowing to have a redo.  We got our redo in Jamacia on New Years Day a little over a year later.  We couldn't talk Sisty and Granddaddy into it again so it was just the 4 of us.  Up early in Atlanta and ready for our adventure to begin!

Jimmy took this of our resort from the plane.  We had looked at the website for so long, we recognized it from the air.  Lol!

We had about a 45 minute drive from the Montego Bay airport to Lucea and the Grand Pallidium Resort.  It was really neat seeing part of the island on the way.  We passed the port where the cruise ships dock for the day.  My kids finally got to see just how huge those things are, fueling their itch for a cruise.  Now, to talk Dad into it.

We arrived in paradise and 75 degree weather on January 1st.  Not too bad.  AND to top it off, it was still decorated for Christmas which made me giddy.

Our beautiful suite.  We had a living room and bedroom.  The kiddos shared the pull out couch and the view was AMAZING!

We loved the outdoor theatre and the nightly shows.  Keatyn would have watched every single one.

The pool was the largest in the Caribbean.  It was huge and had a swim up bar.  It was pretty cold for mama, but the kids didn't seem too fazed.

Dinner the first night at the seafood restuarant.

My kids learned quickly they couldn't just pick up moms drink and take a swig when you are at an all inclusive resort.  This was called the Jamaician Flag drink.  My kids and hubby had more pina coladas then I could count.  Nothing like hearing your 11 year old say... "I'm going back to the bar, anyone want anything?"

We discovered the sports bar about the 2nd night that offered soft serve ice cream.  It began their dessert after dinner for the rest of the vacay.  All inclusive eating is FUN!

We finally got our coconuts after going for 3 days to the hut and they had run out.  They were underwhelming and not great but an experience none the less.

We did a snorkeling expedition from a boat on the resort.  It was really cool to see all the coral in this crystal blue water.

We bought 3 seashells to bring home.
One day we went to Dolphin Cove and swam with the dolphins. It was such a cool experience.  Not a cheap one, I might add, but very cool.

The night before we left, Keatyn got her hair braided.

It was a fantastic vacation with my favorite people and we made so many wonderful memories!!  I can't wait to do it again someday.
